This comes on the heels of the “Renewed Hope” concert, which took place in Abuja last night ahead of the May 29 inauguration.
The concert featured a star-studded lineup, including captivating performances by KCee, Wande Coal, Fireboy, Olamide, Brymo, Asake, Seyi Vibez, Naira Marley, and other artists.
Speaking on the reason for his absence, Portable revealed that the inauguration team offered him N5 million but he declined because they wanted to “rip” him, considering the initial rate was set at N10 million.
“Na so them call my manager o. Say them want make I come perform for Abuja. Na 10 million them drop o, but na five million go reach portable hand. Na so I no gree, I tear the paper. I delete the number, you dey whine Jesus? Na hin no make me perform for Abuja o,” he said in a video shared on his Instagram page.
The ‘Zazu’ star also slammed the planning committee for inviting artistes who didn’t support Tinubu during the election campaign to the concert.
He said he released two songs for the president-elect “Akoi Tinubu” and “Jagaban”, and was repeatedly dragged for throwing his weight behind Tinubu, yet he was not properly acknowledged.
“Na me sing Akoi Tinubu o. No be Obi una dey vote for? Tinubu enter now those useless people una go dey perform there, no be me promote Tinubu?” he added.
He captioned the video,
“ZAzuu Them Dõn Rip Me oooh
