The House of Representatives has commended President Bola Tinubu for his decision to remove subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit popular known as petrol.
The commendation was sequel to the unanimous adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by a member of the House, Jimoh Olajide (APC/Lagos), at the plenary on Tuesday.
Tinubu had in his inaugural address on Monday said petrol subsidy is “gone,” a comment that has caused racketeering and panic buying in the supply chain of the petroleum product.
