Nollywood actor, Bishop Umoh, aka Okon, has come to the defence of his fellow Akwa Ibom indigene, chef Hilda Baci who has been under fire after she admitted she eats dog meat.
DAILY POST reported that animal rights activist and President of My Dog & I group, Jackie Idimogu, berated chef Hilda for eating dog meat, insisting it was cruelty against animals.
Reacting via his social media page, actor Umoh clarified that Akwa Ibom people don’t eat pet dogs as being insinuated, adding that they only eat wild dogs.
He warned the president of My Dog & I group against inciting the west against Hilda who is still waiting to be certified by Guinness World Record as holder of the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
He wrote, “Who’s this one sef? OK madam Cl*tina, before you begin inciting western hoe on Hilda, you should first of all know that there is no proof that the meat on the table is dog meat.
“Secondly, even if it is dog meat, Akwa Ibomites and Cross Riverians eat dog meat and there is nothing wrong with it. They don’t eat pet dogs, but wild dogs.”
