Tukur, scion of former National Chairman of PDP and President, African Business Roundtable, Bamanga Tukur, will replace Bashir Ahmad, appointed by Fintiri in his first term.
The governor’s decision to part ways with his erstwhile SSG is not unconnected with unsubstantiated allegations that the SSG and a few other party members were involved in anti-party activities.
Though Fintiri during a recent meeting with party stakeholders did not mince words when he told party members that appointment into office for his second term will largely reward and compensate party members who truly worked for his re-election as well as the success of the party in the polls.
Also, Fintiri has approved the appointment of Dr Edgar Amos as Chief of Staff Government House.
Edgar, before his latest appointment, served as Head of the Adamawa State Civil Service.
A release by Fintiri’s spokesperson, Humwashi Wonosikou, announcing the appointment, also unveiled the new head of service.
It said Shehu Isa Ardo is to take over from Dr Amos as the new Head of Service.
The appointments are to take immediate effect.
