Fashion designers and enthusiasts had a good time at the fifth edition of Fashions Finest Africa’s ‘epic show’, on Victoria Island, Lagos.
The two-day event, which held last weekend, had the theme, ‘Fashion for the Future’.
In a speech by the Chief Executive Officer of Fashions Finest Africa, Sola Oyebade, he noted that the country’s fashion industry could be a huge money spinner.
Various speakers at the event harped on the business side of the fashion industry, and how stakeholders could make the most of it.
The head, Community Banking, First Bank of Nigeria, Oluwakemi Esan, stated that accessing finance for their businesses should not be one of the problems faced by fashion designers.
The event also had a four-man panel − Teni Oluwo (fashion and lifestyle content creator, and doctor), Akin Faminu (model, actor, influencer and entrepreneur); Bakare Mubarak (who is regarded as one of the tallest models in Sub-Saharan Africa), and Bridget Chigbufe, who also served as the moderator/host – that discussed pertinent issues in the industry.
