Scottish side Glasgow Rangers are reportedly set to complete the signing of Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers.
The former KRC Genk striker is already in talks with Rangers, according to various Scottish media.
Dessers moved to Italy in the 2022 summer transfer window but struggled to impress at the Giovanni Zini Stadium, where he scored just six goals in 26 appearances.
The 28-year-old striker had a blissful loan spell for Feyenoord two seasons ago and was the top scorer at the inaugural Europa Conference League with 10 goals for runners-up Feyenoord but could not rescue the Violins from relegation to Serie B last season.
According to Voetbalprimeur, the Scottish side are aiming to strengthen their squad ahead of their Champions League playoff and for the 2023/24 season.
The Gers believe that the addition of the Super Eagles forward will be a valuable addition.
Dessers was very impressive during his campaign at Feyenoord, scoring 20 goals in 41 appearances.
“Dessers was relegated from Serie A with his team Cremonese last season.
“Rangers FC is also busy taking over Dessers, but when that deal will be completed is still unknown.”
Cremonese spent €6.5m to sign the Nigeria international from Genk in 2022 and are not prepared to sell him for a fee less in the summer transfer window.
