Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Sunday, said that the names of beneficiaries of allotted plots of lands at the controversial Kano Polytechnic premises, with structures marked for demolition, would soon be published.
It should be recalled that all the buildings on the said lands have been marked for demolition, with the perimeter fences of some of the buildings already demolished by the state government task force.
The governor disclosed this at Africa House, Kano on Sunday, alleged that more than 70 per cent of the plots of land were allotted to the wife of the immediate past governor, Dr. Hafsat Ganduje.
‘’That place belongs to the masses. Instead of building hostels, lecture theaters, and a sports complex for the benefit of students, rather they converted the lands for their personal use’’, Gov. Abba Yusuf said.
