A healthcare firm, EzzyCare, said its online medical app, ‘EzzyCare’ app will help to combat the ongoing gap in the healthcare sector.
Speaking at the unveiling in Abuja on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer, EzzyCare, Dr Torngee Malu, said the app was set to connect individuals to highly qualified and verified doctors, laboratories, and pharmacies, saying it would provide them with efficient, convenient, and accessible medical attention.
“With EzzyCare, Africans can access quality and affordable healthcare at their fingertips.
“I got this idea several years ago when medical apps were not in operations because I have worked in a hospital setting, I have gone through all the ranks of the medical training and I understand the challenges that come with accessing healthcare and the challenges that come with the cost of accessing healthcare and the challenges that come with the availability of healthcare providers.
“So it is something that we have been working on for years precisely about 11 years on how to bring doctors who are in scarce supply to be together on an app that people will be able to access from anywhere and thank God, EzzyCare came.”
Medical Director, EzzyCare, Dr Deborah Ojiako stated that EzzyCare ensured all consultations between healthcare providers and care seekers were kept confidential.
Ojiako explained that EzzyCare would connect both parties, adding that sensitive medical information remained private and secured, which was an important factor in the trust between healthcare professionals and patients.
