An ongoing annual music event, Make Music Lagos, which started on June 13 and will end today, has featured a wide range of talented artistes, such as Johnny Drille, Young John and Evelle.
According to the organisers, the event is to commemorate the 2023 World Music Day, which was globally celebrated on June 21.
The festival kicked off on June 13 with My Song is Your Song, a global song swap initiative, which saw music creators from across the world ‘swap’ songs based on interests or genres.
On June 15, a music business conference was held at the Jewel Aeida, Lekki, Lagos, with the theme, ‘Win-Win Partnerships: Exploring Collaborative Opportunities’. At the conference, stakeholders shared insights on how collaborations could create mutual growth and benefits.
Panellists at the conference include the Chief Operating Officer at Mavin Records, Tega Ogehnejobo; Managing Director of Sony Publishing, Godwin Tom; Executive Director of Anchor Insurance, Ebose Osegha; Founder/CEO of Soundhalla, David Igbokwe; an entertainment lawyer, Yemisi Falaye; filmmaker, Jade Osiberu; and singer and music producer, Cobhams Asuquo.
