DAILY POST reported that Doyin, during the ‘Level Up’ reunion show episode 6, aired on Monday night, had stated that Adekunle “owes his mum an apology because he threw her home training to the gutters.”
Her statement earned backlash on social media, with many berating her for involving Adekunle’s mother in their beef.
However, reacting via her Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, Doyin clarified that her comment on the show was not an insult to Adekunle’s mother as many insinuated.
She said her comment means that Adekunle’s mum trained him well, but he neglected the training; hence, he owes her an apology.
The reality star urged those who misunderstood her to return to English language classes.
Doyin wrote, “I never insulted his mum. My words were “he owes his mum an apology for throwing her home training in the gutter”. In other words, she trained him but he neglected the training, so he owes her an apology.
“If English is your problem, this is a good chance to go back to school.”
