Buba Galadima
Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has reacted to speculations that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate, will be defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Galadima said Kwankwaso was yet to inform the NNPP that he would be joining the APC and that it was mere speculation.
Speaking with Channels Television, the NNPP chieftain, however, noted that Kwankwaso was ready to work with President Bola Tinubu.
According to Galadima: “Kwankwaso has not told anybody he is joining the APC; people are just talking, but what we have before is winner take all. If Tinubu is calling for a unity government, it is not a bad thing.”
Kwankwaso has been seen around Tinubu since the latter won the presidential election in February.
There are beliefs that Tinubu might give Kwankwaso a political appointment.
