The Iyalode of Lagos and the mother of the Chief Executive Officer of Oando Plc, Wale Tinubu, Bintu-Fatima Tinubu, turned 80 on Saturday, July 1, 2023, and a party, which was attended by top socialite and dignitaries, was held in her honour at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, on Sunday, July 2.
Government officials from different parts of the country and captains of industries were also part of the celebration.
During the event, there was a Benin cultural performance of music and dance, during which the birthday girl took to the dance floor with her friends.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who gave the toast, noted that the Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu families had been close for about 80 years. This was even as he extolled the celebrant, praying for her and her family.
The son of the women of the moment, Wale, also gave a speech eulogising his mother, appreciating all that were present at the event.
Representatives of Fatima Charity Foundation and Ikoyi Club Lady Golfers Association were also present to felicitate Bintu.

Other big names present were Razaq Okoya and his wife, Shade; Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Tony Elumelu, Sam Iwuajoku; Managing Director, Access bank Group Nigeria, Herbert Wigwe; a former MD of Oceanic bank, Cecilia Ibru; media entrepreneur, Mo Abudu; one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife, Olori Mariam Ogunwusi; Jide Fadairo and wife, Folasade; a former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun and his wife, Olufunso; and Daisy Danjuma.
Veteran juju musician, King Sunny Ade, held the forte on the bandstand, while comedians, Seyi Law and Gbenga Adeyinka, were also on hand to get guests laughing.
