According to the statement the training and induction ceremony took place virtually in Abuja and participants were able to learn new methodologies in managing an organization using modern technology.
“While declaring the event open, the Karazin Dean of faculty of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, Professor Valeriy Ryeznikov highlighted the importance of strengthening the Nigerian-Ukrainian relations through education and knowledge sharing and charged the participants to take advantage of their admission into the academic community of the University to learn new management principles in confronting current global challenges.
The lectures which were delivered by Dr. Oksana Chala-Associate Professor of the School and Dr Olena Mykolenko-Associate Professor of the Department of International E-Commerce, Hotel and Restaurant Business enriched the Nigerian participants with relevant knowledge, which led to the award of the certificate of Fellow of the scientific academic Community of the University, with rights and privileges thereto.
“In his goodwill message, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Benjamin Kalu, a recipient of the Fellow award and Special Guest of Honour at the induction ceremony, who was represented by Bassey Akiba, member representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency of Cross Rivers State at the House of representatives used the opportunity to thank the Ukrainian University for supporting Nigeria in the human capital development index and charged the newly inducted fellows of Karazin to share the acquired knowledge and expertise to other fellow Nigerians in order to support the Government towards achieving the renewed hope agenda of the new government, by maintaining high level of integrity and standards that the University is known for.”
In his introductory speech, the country representative of the University in Nigeria, Dr. Cliff Ogbede stated that Karazin University has shown strong commitment towards the growth of Nigeria and pledged to offer several programs that will help to prepare the Nigerian students and major workforce for the new global challenges, which include knowledge sharing, research and development, academic cooperation with Nigerian institutions and cultural exchange programs between Nigeria and Ukraine.
