The cause of the fire was not known yet, but the spokesperson of Osun Fire Service, Ibrahim Adekunle, confirmed the incident.
Adekunle, who said firemen received a distress call from the resort some minutes before 7 pm, added that the fire was eventually put to check over two hours after.
He said details of what happened would be made available in due course.
“We received distress call from the resort around 6:52pm and firemen immediately proceeded to the scene.
“The men left the area and informed me that the fire has been put off about 9:17pm. Further details of what happened would be made available as we get them.
“No loss of life but properties were damaged,” Adekunle said.
Spokesperson to Ooni, Moses Olafare, when contacted promised to call back, but he has not returned the call as of the time of filing this report.
