The Nigerian Exchange Group Plc has confirmed the appointment of Ms Obehi Ikhaghe as its company secretary.
According to a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of NGX, Oscar Onyema, Ikhaghe’s appointment took effect on April 13.
The exchange group said the decision to appoint Ikhaghe as the company secretary was approved during its board meeting on July 14.
It said her appointment marked the conclusion of her role as the acting company secretary, a position she assumed in January after the departure of her predecessor, Mrs Mojisola Adeola.
“Ikhaghe is a seasoned lawyer with over 14 years of professional experience, spanning company secretarial, corporate governance, corporate law, compliance, and general legal practice.
“Before joining Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, she worked at Lafarge Africa Plc as a Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for the Ready Mix and Aggregates Division,” the statement read.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Lagos and a Master of Laws from the same institution.
