The 2023 promotional examinations for federal civil servants will commence on August 14, a memo obtained from the Federal Civil Service Commission by The PUNCH has revealed.
The memo, dated July 28, 2023, was signed by the Chairman, Federal Civil Service Commission, Tukur Ingawa; and addressed to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan; Accountant-General of the Federation, Oluwatoyin Madein; all Permanent Secretaries, among others.
“The Federal Civil Service Commission would like to inform all accredited candidates of the dates of the written examination (local leg) as contained in the attached timetable.
“Candidates are advised to take a very close note of the date scheduled for their Cadre and Salary Grade Level and report at the stated venue for the exercise by 7 am prompt.
“Permanent Secretaries/Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers of MDAs are to please bring the contents of this circular to the attention of all concerned for compliance, please,” the memo read.
In the details of the examination schedule, civil servants on Grade Levels 14-15 will have their examinations between August 14 and 15; those on Grade Levels 15-16 will take theirs from August 16 to 17; while August 18 was fixed for those on Grade Levels 16 and 17.
