President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Emeka Ejezie Rollas, has said that all hands must be on deck for the body to play its own role to bolster the nation’s growth.
He called on all stakeholders to unify to enable them take the front seat.
He spoke when the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria Chairmen Forum elected a new executive committee to pilot the affairs of the forum.
Rollas described the chairmen forum as a complementary and operational body of the National Executive Committee of the AGN.
“All stakeholders of AGN should come together in unity. All hands should be on deck. We need concerted efforts to project our guild to play its own role for greater growth and benefit of the country”, he said.
Rollas urged the new exco to prioritise the ideals of the guild, while commending the out gone executive for their efforts in sustaining the forum.
The chairmen of different arms of the AGN were drawn from across the 36 State chapters and the FCT.
Brown Ene, Chairman of Enugu State chapter emerged as chairman and Prince Wilson Kingsley, chairman of Nasarawa State chapter as Secretary.
Other members include Patience Ezekiel, chairman of Adamawa as vice chairman, Comrade Palmsilver Sikpo, chairman of Akwa Ibom state as Financial Secretary and Comrade Joe C. Oputa, chairman of Edo state chapter as Public relation Officer.
Speaking, the newly inaugurated chairman of the forum, Comr. Brown Ene assured of the forum’s commitment to implementing AGN code of ethics in the various chapters across the country.
The chairmen passed a vote of confidence on the Emeka Rollas led National Executive Committee for their remarkable policies and programs aimed at strengthening the guild, particularly, for introducing the bye-laws.
He reiterated the new exco’s commitment to building on the gains of the previous leadership as well as partnering with all relevant bodies for the good of all actors in the country.
