Jamaica knocked Brazil out of the 2023 Women’s World Cup on Wednesday after a goalless draw and booked a slot amongst the last 16 teams in the next round of the tournament.
The PUNCH reports that the match which ended 0-0 ensured it is the first time Jamaica reached a World Cup knockout stage in its history.
According to a GOAL report via Twitter, Jamaica had to set up a GoFundMe to pay for their trip to the Women’s World Cup jointly hosted by New Zealand and Australia.
