The Nimbus Aid Project, a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by Nimbus Media Ltd, said it has been making significant strides in its mission to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and non-profit organisations in Nigeria.
A statement said its project’s 2022 Impact Report revealed that around 10 women-led SMEs and startups received N20m worth of advertising support, leading to over 2.8 million unique advert views across high-traffic locations in Lagos.
It stated, “Since its launch in 2016, the Nimbus Aid Project had positively impacted 13 organisations, with 11 of them being women-led.
“Through its strategic efforts, the initiative has not only provided marketing support but also contributed to community development, improved access to essential services, and enhanced economic resilience.”
The Chief Executive Officer, of Nimbus Media Ltd, Wale Adegoke, while expressing his vision behind the Nimbus Aid Project, said, “We believe businesses have a profound responsibility to contribute positively to society.
“The Nimbus Aid Project embodies our commitment to giving back and making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
According to the statement, the project’s emphasis on supporting women-led businesses had been instrumental in promoting gender equality in entrepreneurship and inspiring more women to take on leadership roles, driving economic growth in Nigeria.
A beneficiary, Managing Partner at HeadFort Foundation, Oluyemi Orija, praised the initiative as a game-changer for businesses.
The statement said he noted that winning the grant had the potential to change the trajectory of one’s business and strategically help reach new communities.
