The microphone singer Cardi B threw at a fan has fetched almost $100,000.
The microphone is currently being bargained at an auction on Ebay.
Recall that last week, Cardi B, in retaliation, threw a microphone at a concertgoer who tossed a drink at her while performing ‘Bodak Yellow’ at Drai’s Beach club in Las Vegas.
A few days after the incident, TMZ reported that the microphone is now up for auction.
The mic hurled into the crowd, according to the news outlet, belongs to an audio production company called The Wave in Sin City.
Scott Fisher, the owner of the company, is said to have decided to auction it to benefit a couple of charities.
Fisher said the microphone still works after the rapper threw it into the crowd.
He said the starting bid on eBay is $500, adding that the mic had originally cost $1000.
He also said the proceeds will be split between two charities that benefit teens and young adults with special needs.
At the time of this report, the eBay listing for the mic had a current bid of $99,900 — while August 8 is the last date for the listing.
The alleged victim earlier reported to the Las Vegas police that she was “struck by an item that was thrown from the stage”.
But according to TMZ, the criminal battery charges brought against the rapper have been dropped.
Cardi B’s lawyers said they were informed by the police that as a result of their investigation, there will be no charges against the rapper.
“This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be no charges against Cardi,” they said.
“On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligence and prompt resolution of this matter.”
