According to the thespian, he went to greet a few people in Anambra State when some fans solicited help from him, only for the army to arrest him.
He said, “I finished a shoot in Asaba and came to Onitsha and wanted just to say hello to a few people, but they walled me out of hunger, serious hunger that I had to say, let me buy some loaves of bread, but as I was buying the population was increasing.
“I didn’t even know when the soldiers came until the way they did, It is not a thing you will find in a civilized country. What I heard from some people after the event was that an APC man was watching the crowd multiplying and was thinking that I was gathering votes for PDP.”
