Plans are underway for a ministerial retreat for the newly appointed ministers and cabinet members of the President Bola Tinubu administration, Saturday PUNCH has learnt.
Although no official date was released as of Friday, the retreat where the appointees will be inducted and made to sign a pledge to remain committed to the ‘renewed hope’ agenda of the President, will be held at the Presidential Villa.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari also held ministerial retreats for his ministers during his administration.
Speaking with our correspondent, a villa source said, “There will be a ministerial retreat at the villa for the new ministers. I don’t know when yet but it will be after they are sworn in.”
The presidency this week unveiled the portfolios of the new ministers while noting that they would be sworn in on August 21, 2023, while the documentation for the newly-appointed ministers would commence today.
The exercise is expected to end on Sunday, August 20.
