Nigerian striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, has broken a 28-year Nottingham Forest record by scoring in seven consecutive Premier League games, surpassing Stan Collymore.
The PUNCH reports that this achievement places him alongside Salah and Adebayor as one of the only three African players to achieve this feat.
Awoniyi’s record run started last season when Forest beat Southampton 4-3 at the City Ground.
The Nigerian striker’s £17 million transfer fee appears to be a worthwhile investment. After returning from injury last season, he has continued his impressive form into the current campaign. With three goals in three matches, he is currently one of the top scorers in the league.
