Three people have been reported dead after a man opened fire inside a Jacksonville Dolla General Store in the state of Florida, United States.
Jacksonville County Sheriff, T.K. Waters confirmed in a press briefing that the victims were all black. He said, “This shooting was racially motivated, and he hated Black people,” the sheriff, who is Black, said at a news conference. “He wanted to kill n——.”
Waters said the suspected shooter sent a manifesto which detailed his racial hatred to law enforcement, media, and his parents.
The sheriff’s office subsequently said the suspected shooter was among the dead.
