4. MEMBERSHIP/MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
Membership of Unilag Parents’ Forum is VOLUNTARY,and not MANDATORY as contained in the publications by some individuals who failed to pressure or arm-twist the Executives to promote protests and fight the University Management over the just released upwards review of the obligatory charges about which they failed to understand, that, it is not peculiar to the University of Lagos
5. MEETING WITH THE UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT
Unilag Parents’ Forum requested for a meeting with the University Management when the reviewed Obligatory charges were released. Management obliged the Association, and on Thursday, August 10, 2023, Parents of Unilag Students attended the meeting with the Management,at the Senate Chamber.
In response to our plea regarding the reviewed Obligatory charges, Management offered parents the opportunity to pay Obligatory charges in three (3) instalments before the commencement of Second Semester registration, to cushion the effects arising from the upward review of the Obligatory charges.
We are therefore using this medium to appeal to all our esteemed Parents to remain calm and patient as we continue to explore all interpersonal contacts with the Management.
6. THE ASSOCIATION’S DUES OF FIVE THOUSAND NAIRA
Association’s dues of Five Thousand Naira is not compulsory or mandatory. The Five Thousand Naira Dues is paid by Parents who have voluntarily opted to be part of the Forum.
The dues are voluntarily paid by this Parents into the Association’s bank account
The distortions in some platforms that Parents are being forced to pay Five Thousand Naira is not only misleading, malicious, but wicked.
