PUNCH Metro gathered that the accident which occurred on Tuesday, involved a Toyota Camry with registration number Lagos BDG 159HW.
Our correspondent further learnt that the yet-to-be-identified driver was travelling outwards from Sagamu and inwards from Ogijo when he lost control of his vehicle, causing him to ram into a concrete electric pole in the area.
Consequently, the adverse impact of the collision left a makeshift shop just by the roadside with damage, causing injury to a yet-to-be-identified female occupant.
PUNCH Metro further learnt that the injured victims were rushed to an unspecified hospital in the area and that the Ogijo Police Division led by SP Awode Olatunde was on the ground to assess the level of damage.
Contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the matter to our correspondent on Wednesday, said no life was lost in the accident.
Odutola said, “Yes, the driver’s name and the names of the female occupants of the shop were yet to be discovered. And the hospital they were said to be taken to is still unknown at the moment. The car involved in the accident has been recovered and brought to the station for safety and VIO inspection.”
