Correct Score Arsenal vs Man United Prediction
Goals are usually on the menu when these two sides clash. With the side enjoying home advantage winning each of the last four league meetings.
Both defences have looked shaky so far this term with key personnel from last season missing for one reason or another. In those last four head-to-heads there have been two 3-1 victories and two by a 3-2 scoreline.
The first of my predictions is going to be a repeat of the 3-1 win for Arsenal in April of last year.
1×2 Predictions
Arsenal had the third best home record in the Premier League last season. Winning 14 of their 19 fixtures at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are also unbeaten over their opening two fixtures on home soil this term, only denied a 100% record by a late Fulham goal last week.
Manchester United lost eight times away from home last season. That is the same amount as Everton who finished down in 17th and have started this campaign with a 2-0 defeat on the road at Tottenham.
As a result I agree with the betting sites who all make Arsenal the favourite to win this in the 1X2 market.
Draw No Bet Predictions
Given recent form I can’t make a case for Manchester United to win this game so even the odds on Draw No Bet make limited appeal. But as a strong favourite Arsenal backers have to take a straight win with their odds in this market incredibly short.
BTTS Predictions
Both sides have defensive issues going into this clash so both teams to score is a confident addition to my tips. Mikel Arteta has opted to play Thomas Partey at right-back with no place for an unsettled Gabriel Magalhaes despite injuries in that part of the team.
With Luke Shaw’s injury the Red Devils have no specialist left back meaning Diogo Dalot will likely have to fill in there. Rafa Varane is also out to further unstable a defence that has given up plenty of chances already this season.
Take this one to follow the pattern of the last four meetings and see both teams score.
Our Analysis of the Arsenal vs Man United Match
Although neither side has looked overly convincing in their opening games of the season it is Arsenal that hold the slight advantage. Playing pretty well for most of the opening fixture against Nottingham Forest before making hard work of a 2-1 win. The Gunners ground out a good away win at a tough venue in Crystal Palace before throwing away a strong position late on at home to 10-man Fulham.
Mikel Arteta could easily be going into this game with maximum points on the board. He has tinkered with his line-up which could explain their slightly disjointed start and it would be no surprise to see him revert to tried and tested for this game.
Despite a campaign which saw Eric Ten Hag overachieve in his first season in charge his side fell well short when travelling to the best the Premier League had to offer. Just one point gained at Tottenham to show for their visits to the other eight sides who finished in the top nine last term. Seven defeats and shipping an alarming 28 goals whilst only scoring eight says all you need to know.
This season United have a respectable six points on the board but in truth could easily have none. Wolves spurned countless chances while Nottingham Forest were 2-0 up inside four minutes at Old Trafford on Saturday but left empty-handed. They lost their only away game to date at Tottenham 2-0.
The Red Devils are looking to bring a left back in ahead of this game but failure to do so could be crucial. One of Arsenal’s star performers, if not the best, Bukayo Saka will be looking to exploit that area of weakness.
Top Scorers Predictions for Arsenal vs Man United
Saka is the newly crowned PFA men’s young players’ player of the year. This comes as a result of scoring 14 goals and contributing 11 assists in his best season for the Gunners.
The 21-year-old already has two goals to his name this term and resumed penalty taking duties scoring Arsenal’s opening goal at the weekend from the spot.
Gunners to have too much firepower against a brittle visiting defence.
Arsenal go into this fixture as the odds on favourite to win following a fantastic season for them last term. A steady start has done nothing to suggest they will not be able to follow that up in this new campaign. The Gunners will be confident given the poor record Manchester United had last season away from home against the top teams in the division.
Last results of the teams
Having beaten Nottingham Forest 2-1 and Crystal Palace 1-0 in their opening two fixtures, Arsenal lost their 100% record last time out in drawing 2-2 draw with Fulham.
Manchester United opened with an unconvincing 1-0 win against Wolves before losing 2-0 at Tottenham. They bounced back by beating Nottingham Forest 3-2 despite conceding twice in the opening four minutes.
