The Egyptian forward is not for sale, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp said: “The position remains the same, absolutely. No doubt about that. We cannot (sell Salah). That’s how it is. Nothing else to say.”
Al Ittihad are willing to pay Salah £1.5m per week, but Liverpool are not interested in selling him. Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, has also ruled out a move.
The Premier League transfer window closes on Friday night, but the Saudi Pro League transfer window closes on September 7. This means that Al Ittihad could still make a bid for Salah after the Premier League window closes.
However, it is unlikely that Liverpool will change their stance. They are adamant that Salah is not for sale and they are confident that he will remain at the club.
Salah, who is a key player for Liverpool, has scored 156 goals in 252 appearances for the club and was an integral part of the team in winning the Premier League and the Champions League in 2019.
