The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has dismissed a copy of the European Union (EU) Election Observers Mission report on the 2023 presidential election sought by the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
During one of the rulings on Wednesday in the Labour Party’s suit challenging President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election, Justice Abba Mohammed threw out the evidence.
The judge ruled that the petitioners received the document from its registry, which was certified by its employees, who is not the original custodian of the document.
According to Justice Mohammed, the paper was not presented by an official of the European Union Election Observers Mission, which prepared it.
Recall that the actual copy of the report was earlier tendered by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while prosecuting their petition before the court.

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has dismissed a claim by the Labour Party (LP) and its Presidential candidate Peter Obi appears on blurred result sheets from Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election.
During one of the rulings on Wednesday in the Labour Party’s suit contesting President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 polls, Justice Abba Mohammed ruled the party’s claims were unjustified.
Justice Mohammed decided that the Labour Party’s argument about the blurred 18,088 results sheets is false since the party should have agents at each polling place who have a copy of the result sheet.
