A singer, Onyekachukwu Mba, aka Don Lamba, has expressed his admiration for artistes wh pave the way for others in the music industry.
In a statement sent to Saturday Beats, the Enugu State-born artiste said, “Burna Boy’s style of music influenced me to always do music that can resonate with people. It also influenced me to sign talented artistes, who understand the importance of doing music that connects to people.
“Another artiste that inspires me is Olamide. Despite his fame, he is very humble and down-to-earth. His career is worthy of emulation, and as a matter of fact, he is an inspirational figure who paved the way for artistes such as Lil Kesh, Fireboy, Adekunle Gold and Asake, among others to thrive in the music industry.
“I also respect other music personalities like Don Jazzy, 2 Baba and Akon, who are doing their best to give talented artistes the needed support to showcase their talents.”
Speaking on his current project, Lamba said, “I made my forthcoming single in collaboration with an artiste known as Oba Naija. I am skilled in using my mouth to whistle, so I experimented with it in the single, which is titled, ‘Afro-Whistle’.
Don Lamba, who runs a record label – CSE Records – together with his elder brother, Ekenechukwu, aka KC Wise, noted that they signed artistes such as Jesse Chinedu, aka Mofizzay, and Bright Godfrey, aka 3plebeatz, in order to help them build viable careers.
