Operatives of the State Intelligence Bureau, Bayelsa State Police Command, have burst a phone stealing syndicate in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
A statement signed by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Tolani Alausa, said the six suspects were arrested at different locations within the Yenagoa Metropolis after sustained surveillance by police operatives.
They allegedly specialised in robbing unsuspecting residents of their mobile phones inside tricycles.
Items recovered from them included four tricycles, five iPhones, 14 Android phones, six button phones, amulets, and charms.
The suspects allegedly operated in pairs, with one claiming to be a driver and the other disguising as a passenger.
