A proposed 20-storey hotel building under construction directly opposite Delta Mall Asaba, on Thursday evening collapsed, causing panic among workers and residents of the state capital.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the building collapse was coming up barely hours after the Nigerian Institute of Architects flagged off a two-day event in Asaba.
Details of the cause of the incident were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
Also, it could not be ascertained whether or not there were casualties.
However, the scene of the incident had been cordoned off by officials of the State Emergency Management and security operatives.
