The call was made in a communiquè signed by the NLC chapter Chairman, Yusuf Bello.
Recall that the Deputy Governor Dr Manassah Jatau, recently announced N10,000 as palliative to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal.
The Communiquè partly read, “The SEC in session has applauded the Gombe State Government’s gesture of offering to pay N10,000 as palliative to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal to the state and Local Government employees.
“However, the SEC in session is appealing to the state government to extend the gesture to the pensioners.”
On possible expansion of biometric attendance register, Bello urged the government to stand down, saying, “the SEC in session has unanimously agreed that the state government should put on hold the expansion of the biometric attendance register until the biometric technical committee meeting with the State Executive Council of Nigeria Labor Congress.”
