Ovie of no fixed address is standing trial in the court on one-count charge bordering on stealing.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge against him.
The prosecutor, ASP Zedekiah Orogbemi, told the court that the defendant committed the theft on July 18 at 4. 00 p.m. at Ijokodo in Okitipupa.
Orogbemi said that the defendant stole the power bank from a shop owned by one Mr Godwin Nwani, contrary to Section 390 (9) of the Criminal, Laws of Ondo State, 2006.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Cletus Ojuola, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 and a surety in like sum.
Ojuola said the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and provide evidence of two years’ tax payment to Ondo State Government.
He, however, adjourned the case until Sept. 22, for further hearing.
