Spanish football giant, Real Madrid, secured a win over German club, Union Berlin, with a 1-0 victory at the Bernabeu.
Having enjoyed a steady rise under coach Urs Fischer, Berlin, who made the top-four finish at the end of last season’s Bundesliga campaign, gave the White Angels a tough time on home soil as they stood up to Madrid’s attack.
Courtesy of English new arrival, Jude Bellingham, the Spanish capital club was able to earn three points.
The goal which came at the 94th-minute mark saw Valverde’s shot take two deflections before Bellingham slot the ball into the empty net.
