Best confessed via his Instagram account @Killaboigram_, to stabbing his girlfriend, Augusta Osedion in July. In a series of posts, Killaboi said he got into a heated argument with Augusta, stabbed her, and ran away from his Lagos apartment out of fear.
“I got into an argument with my girlfriend @austa xxo which fight I mistakenly stabbed her and ran away out of fear and been suicidal since then(sic). I intend to end my life now cause I have lost the one I cherish so much. I want to do the right thing and turn myself in. I will gladly die by paying with my life now,” he wrote on his Insta Stories.
He also made the same confession via his now-deleted Twitter page, @Vvs_crypt.
Two months after the incident, several Twitter users have called on the Nigerian Police Force to apprehend Killaboi, who is yet to turn himself in, as earlier stated in his confession post.
Sharing a picture of Best, @fabianthafirst tweeted, “This is KILLABOI, he confessed to killing Austa by stabbing her, the police has not done anything about it yet. We want #JusticeforAusta @PoliceNG @BenHundeyin
“#justiceforausta, very tired of young women becoming cautionary tales, let’s make killaboi a cautionary tale for violent men,” another Twitter user, @appltop wrote.
@sheddyking said, “Killaboi is still active on social media, posting casually every day like he didn’t commit murder. No declaring him wanted, no sign that anything is being done to bring him to book. @PoliceNG are you people not embarrassed?”
“2 months ago, Augusta Osedion, known as Austa, was killed by her boyfriend, Benjamin Best known as Killaboi. Killaboi confessed to Killing her, yet still walking Freely and engaging all Social media Platforms. Up till now there has been no 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲!,” @SamzyVj wrote.
@TheOluwabukunmi also tweeted, “Hello @BenHundeyin, I trust that the NPF can multitask. First frame is a picture of Benjamin Best (killaboi) and second frame is a screenshot of him confessing to the murder of Augusta Osedion, his girlfriend of about 3 years. Please give us #JusticeForAusta.”
