According to the BBC, Morocco’s King Mohammed VI announced that the country would spend $11.6 million (120 billion dirhams) to restore the areas of the country that were affected by the earthquake on September 8.
On Wednesday, he indicated that the funds would be utilized to assist the more than 4.2 million disaster victims.
The money, according to the palace’s announcement on Wednesday, would be applied over a five-year period to “rehouse affected people, reconstruct homes, and restore infrastructure.”
