In furtherance of its social entrepreneurship drive, Green Worship 6.0, has announced the convening of its yearly concert.
The live recording worship concert, organised by Wale Adenuga, features gospel artistes, such as Wale Adenuga, Nathaniel Bassey, TY Bello, Tope Alabi, Gbenga Adenuga, Moses Bliss, Cobhams Asuquo, Bob Fitts, and David Nkennor.
Speaking on the event, Adenuga, said the aim was to raise awareness for charity, particularly indigent children.
He said, “We have been doing this since 2006. Last year, we were able to raise 15m. We had five charities that were beneficiaries, giving them N3m each.”
The founder of Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation, Tobiloba Ajayi, who was a beneficiary last year, noted that with the money got from the initiative, the foundation paid for the school fees of 18 children for two terms. She added that over 10 mothers and 10 children currently benefit from the foundation’s small business development programme; with over 12 families benefitting from the emergency medical care bills.
The founder of the Joy in Africa Foundation, Joy Okonjor, also stated that as of the time they got N1m from the initiative, they were struggling to settle some bills.
