The Kano State House of Assembly on Monday received the 2023 proposed supplementary budget of over N58 billion from the state governor, Abba Yusuf.
The supplementary budget was received during a plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Isma’il Falgore.
The speaker pointed out that the executive is seeking the approval of the House, in accordance with sections 121 (a) and (b) of the 1999 constitution.
He explained that the state government highlighted that the 2023 proposed supplementary budget becomes necessary to sharpen the focus of the government, to deliver its objectives by accelerating the execution of priority projects.
The House adjourned sitting to Tuesday, 26th September 2023, in a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Lawan Dala and seconded by Sule Shuwaki.
