The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has instructed members to fully comply as preparations for the October 3 nationwide strike intensify.
NLC, the Nigerian Labor Congress, and TUC, the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, declared the strike measures.
The Petroleum Tanker Drivers, PTD, Petrol Station Workers, PSW, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Retailers, LPGAR, and all other allied workers in the value chain of petroleum products distribution, according to NUPENG, were specifically ordered to observe the strike beginning at midnight on Tuesday, October 3.

In a fatal accident that occurred in Osun state, two final-year students from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo state,died.
The accident also claimed the life of the driver of the 18-seater bus that caught fire in the Ojutu neighborhood of the Ilobu, Irepodun local government area of Osun state.
Eyewitnesses in the area reported that the Mazda bus exploded in flames at high speed, killing the three victims instantly while injuring five others with various burn injuries.
Agnes Ogungbemi, the Osun Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp, confirmed the incident on Thursday. She said it was caused by speeding and a loss of control.
She continued by saying that while some of the injured people were taken to Uniosun Teaching Hospital in Osogbo, others were taken to a private hospital in the city.
She continued by saying that the police received the three cell phones that were found at the scene.
Henry Benamaisia, the sector commander, urged drivers to exercise caution on public roads to prevent needless fatalities.
