His concern is coming barely six weeks to the November 11 governorship poll in the state.
Nabena, who is the secretary of Media and Publicity of Bayelsa National Gubernatorial Campaign Council, stated that there is a need to quickly clarify the election guidelines to avoid confusion on the day of the election.
The state campaign train was inaugurated by the National Chairman of APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, on Friday with a task to mobilise and deliver the party’s governorship candidate, Timipre Sylva at the November 11 poll.
He said: “First and foremost, the security system should be focused on Bayelsa State. And INEC should come out plain this time. Is it BVAS or we just do whatever we want to do while INEC take it from there? There is no clear direction. We don’t want to do one thing only for INEC to come back and do what they like. They are telling us INEC said they don’t have power to transmit.
“INEC must have a clear direction so that voters will know this is the system so that everybody can protect his votes. Not that somebody will go to Government House and write these things for INEC. So let them tell us, are you going to transmit the result from polling units? Are you going to use BVAS? Tell us from day one.
“Let there be a guideline and an understanding that this is it. Not the one court will say INEC can come up with anything they want. Politics is the biggest business in the world.”
