Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut was named the head of the Nigeria National Office by the West African Examinations Council on Monday.
Dangut replaces Patrick Areghan, whose position is up this month.
You should be aware of the following facts about Dangut:
1. In the Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State’s Mbar District, Dangut was born on October 2, 1967.
2. He attended the Government Secondary School in Riyom from 1981 to 1983 and the Government Science School in Kuru from 1983 to 1986, where he earned his WASC/SC in 1986, both in Plateau State.
3. In 1991, he earned a Bachelor of Agriculture in Animal Production from the University of Agriculture in Makurdi, Benue State.
4. Between July 1998 and January 2005, he worked as an assistant registrar/subject officer at the WAEC, Lagos.
5. From January 2005 to January 2008, he served as the branch controller’s deputy and senior assistant registrar at the Uyo branch office’s head of examinations security and security.
6. Between January 2008 and December 2011, he also served as the Bauchi Branch Office’s Senior Assistant Registrar/Head of Examinations Security and Deputy to the Branch Controller.
7. Between December 2011 and January 2019, he served as Yola Branch office’s Senior Assistant Registrar/Branch Controller.
8. From January 2019 to October 2020, he served as the Post Examinations Department’s Deputy Registrar and Controller.
9. He worked as the zonal coordinator and deputy registrar for the Ikeja Zonal Office.
