This was disclosed on Monday by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Josephat Obi-Oguejiofor, during an interactive session with stakeholders and intending students, in Awka, the Anambra State Capital.
The university announced plans to award scholarship to Nigerians who would want to study those courses.
Obi-Oguejiofor said the scholarship endowment was the institution’s contribution to quality education for Nigerians and the Africa continent at large.
He said the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing commenced this year, adding that the Pro-chancellor, Sir Chukwuma, had endowed scholarships into the faculties for foundation students.
He said, “The Pro-chancellor is proposing to Nigerians the possibility of studying medicine/surgery, pharmacy and nursing with half school fees.
“The intending students will pay only half of the tuition fees throughout their study period. It is a big opportunity for Nigerians to acquire quality education in a university that started from the top. It is a big academic history for Nigerians amidst hardship.
