The Nasarawa Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has dismissed Abdullahi Sule governor of the state
David Ombugadu, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was reportedly proclaimed the election’s victor by the tribunal, according to Gistlover.
David Ombudagu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was declared the victor by the three-person panel, which was presided over by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, while delivering the verdict via Zoom.
Ezekiel argued that the petitioner had established his case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Abdullahi Sule was declared the victor of the Nasarawa State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lafia in March.
Sule defeated David Ombugadu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, who received 283,016 votes, according to Prof. Ishaya Tanko, the INEC returning officer.
Other political dignitaries present at the court included former governors Abdullahi Adamu and Tanko Al-makura, according to a previous Gistlover report.
