Recall that some VVIP fans paid a special visit to celebrate Whitemoney’s 31st birthday with gifts and cash.
In a now deleted tweet from a VVIP fan identified as @___Taurean___, the season 6 winner was presented with a 37 million Naira cheque from WMG Worldwide and a 3 million Naira cheque for an expense-paid vacation to Dubai.
Some of the fans engaged in the alleged financial contribution have come forward a year after the gifts were given out to claim that the N37 million check given to Whitemoney was a fake.
This revelation was brought to light in a leaked recording of the Whitemoney gang X space.
A lady can be heard expressing her disappointment at Whitemoney for agreeing to go with the ruse despite knowing that the cheque he received was fake, making it look like he was trying to compete with the 1st runner-up, Liquorose.
One of the VVIP, trying to be diplomatic, claimed that while supporters were able to donate N900K, they had to cooperate with the vendor in order to inflate the initial cost of the money they intended to provide.
