An actress, Yetunde Bakare, has said it is wrong and insensitive on the part of people calling for a DNA test to be conducted on Liam, the son of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Bakare said, “Despite the fact that I am a huge supporter of DNA tests due to the high rise in paternity fraud in our society and injustice towards men struggling in marriage, I feel clamoring for DNA test to be conducted on Mohbad’s son is absolutely wrong and insensitive at this moment. It is none of the business of the individuals on social media. The family should be the one to decide what they want when the time is right.”
Clarifying her position on love and marriage, Bakare said, “I am already a single mother and I have to be extremely careful about anything that has to do with relationship or marriage. Despite the fact that people pray every day against divorce, it is still happening all the time. Inasmuch as I like being optimistic about things, I also like to be realistic, because the expectations placed on celebrity marriages is so overwhelming. A lot of people don’t see celebs as normal human beings that deserves peace. They don’t think we should walk away when our mental health is at stake. They judge one even without knowing one’s side of the story. They want one to die in silence, because one is supposed to be a public figure.”
