Two popular musical groups, Mzansi Youth Choir from South Africa, and Zimbabwe’s acapella group, Nobuntu, will entertain viewers as they grace the studios of the Cable News Network African Voices Playmakers, which is sponsored by telecommunications company, Globacom.
Founded in 2003, Mzansi Youth Choir’s aim is to use the power of music to bring hope, love and happiness to their nation.
Speaking with African Voices, the group said, “From humble beginnings in Soweto, we began our journey and have captured the hearts of South Africans one performance at a time.”
The Nobuntu, which comprises five sonorous female singers, gained global acclaim for its joyous and celebratory performances of musical genres ranging from traditional Zimbabwean songs to afro Jazz, and gospel music.
The programme will be aired on DSTV Channel 401 on Saturday at 9.30am.
