At the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over the third Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of his administration.
With the exception of Vice President Kashim Shettima and a few ministers, practically every member of the cabinet is present for the meeting, which got underway at approximately 1:06 pm.
The President’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, the Head of the Federation’s Civil Service, and Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), are among those present.
Recall that last week, Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, declared that the Council meetings would now take place on Mondays instead of Wednesdays as previously scheduled.
Additionally, he made it clear that the meeting will only be called when necessary to discuss important council concerns and will not take place every week.
