Nets fancied for a win
Miami have lost back-to-back games as of Monday afternoon, while the Nets lost their two opening games of the season before facing Charlotte on Monday night. Brooklyn only narrowly fell to the Cavaliers and Mavericks, though, and there have been good signs from Cam Thomas, Ben Simmons and others.
Miami have already made the call to give Jimmy Butler some rest during a back-to-back. Butler should be available for this game, but the Heat will surely be careful with his minutes as they are still trying to figure out their rotation.
Brooklyn have the right players to challenge the Heat’s offence. We think the Nets can secure a win here.

Heat start strong
The Heat have won the first quarter in two of their first three games. They even led by 12 points at the end of the first when Butler rested against the Timberwolves.
It might be early to say the Heat have developed a habit of starting games well. However, they have been producing offensively in the opening quarter.
Part of that is down to a good chunk of minutes with their starters. It’s no secret they are a better team with Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler on the floor.
While we think Brooklyn’s depth can help them get them back into the game, we’re backing the Heat to take an early lead. This is one of our top NBA tips for Wednesday’s games.

Herro gets his shots up
Early in the season, Brooklyn gave up a huge quantity of threes, with opponents hitting them at a high rate. Ahead of their game with the Hornets, opponents are shooting over 40% from downtown against the Nets.
Given that Butler rarely takes three-point shots, and Adebayo is still exclusively an inside-the-arc jump shooter, Miami are reliant on Tyler Herro’s three-point shooting alongside their two stars.
Herro is never afraid to shoot, having made 29 three-point attempts in three games so far this season. The young guard made five threes against Boston and four against Minnesota – we favour the over here.
