Disclosing this at the Gombe regional office, the Managing Director, Mrs Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, at the end of her two-day visit to the state, described the current dispensation as a new era for NIGCOMSAT.
She said, “We are here to ensure our clients, potential clients, stakeholders, and partners are aware of this. We aim to transform the perception of this proud asset of our nation, not just through words, but through tangible actions and results. We are determined to make NIGCOMSAT a beacon of national pride, with an energised workforce, satisfied clients, and national recognition.”
Speaking further, Egerton-Idehen added, “In today’s world, the phrase the world is a global village rings truer than ever. Our foremost duty as a communications satellite operator is to enhance communication capabilities and infrastructure for the betterment of our people. We are determined to meet the mandate set by the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy: to provide universal, ubiquitous, and cost-effective access to communications infrastructure throughout the country, to strive for a Nigeria where the utilisation of ICT impacts all spheres from Agriculture, Education, Health, Enterprise, etc.”
According to Egerton-Idehen, NIGCOMSAT has initiated a restructuring process and reassessed its priorities to ensure that solutions flourish in the ever-changing market environment and compete effectively, yielding substantial profits.
“We aim to become the preferred choice and a leading partner in the industry. Technology is the engine of every economy, and NIGCOMSAT is now better positioned than ever to provide the nation with reliable internet services that will stimulate innovation and other advancements in the tech industry.
“We seek to work with the Gombe State Government not only to offer broadband access but also solutions that can enhance the operations of small and medium enterprises, as well as educational and healthcare services in the state.
